A born entrepreneur, Lynn opened her first Kool-Aid stand at age 8 and has been fascinated with the concept of building something from nothing ever since.   After a career that included years in sales development and transitioned into public transportation advocacy and federal program coordination,  Lynn found herself in what she describes as “a professional perfect storm.”  A trained professional writer and proficient website developer for the Minnesota DOT, Lynn was brought into the DOT Commissioner’s flag ship initiative: rewriting and improving the implementation of the Americans with Disabilities act for the agency as its first accessible communications specialist.  This environment was her true calling and where she met incredible people living with disabilities who were doing ground breaking advocacy work for the rights of others.

WeCo Accessibility Services was the brainchild that sprang forth from this work and the people Lynn met along the way.  Proud owner of a “bootstrapped startup,”  Lynn found herself in new and exciting territory: head of a unique consulting business of professionals living with disabilities, and a microbusiness owner.  She soon began to realize the under representation and “voicelessness” she had witnessed happening to professionals who live with disabilities, was also occurring to people who owned what she describes as “the invisible microbusiness.”  Lynn is excited to bring her passion for giving a voice to others, to the Microbusiness Advocates Cooperative.

Lynn Wehrman is a founding member of the Micro-Advocates Cooperative and currently its Technology Director.
